If you have updated your Samsung Galaxy S5 to the new Android lollipop 5.0 update, then here is a quick fix if it has slowed your phone down like it did mine. Actually You can do this as often as you like and especially after each update.

NO DATA WILL BE LOST if you follow these easy steps exactly!

The Wipe cache partition for your Samsung Galaxy S5 works as follows:
Switch off your phone by long pressing the Power On / Off button. Wait until the device is turned off completely. Now you have to press and hold the following keys to start the phone again and get into the service menu:

• Power On / Off
• Volume up
• Home button

  1. As the Samsung Galaxy S5 vibrates once you can release only the power on / off button while making sure to keep the other two keys from the key combination pressed until a text menu list appears on the screen.
  2. Now mark the entry “Wipe cache partition” with the volume down key.
  3. With the power on / off button, the entry is marked and the process is started. This usually takes only a few seconds.
  4. Then the previously displayed menu appears again.
  5. Now select the first entry with “Reboot system now” and run the command again with a press of the power button.
  6. Your Samsung Galaxy S5 will now reboot.

You have now successfully performed a wipe cache on your Samsung Galaxy S5. Your phone should now run faster and make fewer problems with Android Lollipop 5.0. If not, then you have to perform a factory reset on your Samsung Galaxy S5 which will wipe all of your data so make sure you backup what you want to keep FIRST.
